Our process
Six steps from first call to final walkthrough.
A remodel goes best when decisions are made in the right order. This is how we take a project from idea to finished room.
Consultation
We start with a conversation about your goals, your home, your timing and a realistic budget range. If the project is a good fit, we schedule a visit.
- What you want to change and why
- How you use the space today
- Timing, budget range and priorities
Planning & Design
We look at the house, measure and work through layout and scope. Selections are guided so that choices fit the budget and the structure.
- Existing conditions, structure and systems
- Layout options and scope decisions
- Finish level and selection guidance
Scope & Proposal
You receive a written proposal that spells out what is included, what is not, the allowances for selections and an expected schedule.
- Detailed scope of work
- Allowances and exclusions stated clearly
- Schedule and payment terms
Permits & Preparation
We prepare and submit the permits the project needs, order long-lead materials and plan site protection before work begins.
- Building, electrical and plumbing permits as required
- Condo or association approvals where needed
- Material orders and delivery planning
Construction
Trades are coordinated and sequenced. You get regular updates and decisions are brought to you before they hold up the work.
- Daily cleanup and dust control
- Inspections scheduled as the work progresses
- Changes documented in writing before they are made
Final Walkthrough
We review every detail of the finished work with you, complete the punch list and make sure you know how to care for what was installed.
- Walkthrough together, room by room
- Punch list completed
- Product information and care guidance
Working together
What you can expect from us.
Communication
One point of contact, regular updates and answers that are straight, including when the news is not what you hoped.
Changes
If you want to change something, or something unexpected is found, we explain the effect on cost and schedule in writing before the work changes.
Your home
We protect floors and finishes, contain dust, keep work areas tidy and agree on hours and access at the start.
